When I was a medical student I saw three cases of female genital mutilation. In one case the girl died.
On Friday 8th February 2019 the UK Member of Parliament Christopher Chope blocked a private members bill to make a one-line amendment to the Childrens’ Act of 1989.
This bill seeks to make a one-line amendment to the Children Act 1989, that would “considerably extend protection to young girls at greatest risk of genital mutilation.
FGM is big business. What they do is force a young girl who is born and raised in the UK to marry someone from abroad. Under UK law if a marriage takes place abroad then it is legally recognised in the UK so long as it is legal in the country where it took place.
They then bring the man with his pre-existing wives and some 20 children to live in the UK. Since the man is legally married to a UK citizen they can all claim state welfare benefits. All at the taxpayer’s expense.
However unless the girl is circumcised they won’t do it because they don’t want the girl to have sexual desires.
Please note that this is strictly forbidden in all religions. No religion advocates such barbaric and reprehensible behaviour.
I always ask men who advocate this procedure why they don’t advocate having their own genitals amputated and they never give me a good answer.
